Drop off your gently used books, DVDs, and music CDs at the side delivery entrance (northeast corner) of the library in Greenfield between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. As a service project, student volunteers will assist when you ring the bell. Please request your tax receipt at the same time.

Because of limited space, donations can only be made on specified dates.

Proceeds from sales by the Friends of the Hancock County Public Library, a non-profit volunteer group, fund programs and special equipment.

Skvarenina was named winner of the 2015 Hubert Hawkins History Award from the Indiana Historical Society, given to a local historian for distinguished service during his or her career in local history. Skvarenina has been the county historian since 1992. He serves on the boards of the Hancock County Historical Society, Indiana National Road Assn., Shirley Historical Society and Riley Old Home Society.

Teen Summer Reading Club Guidelines:


Sign Up for the Teen Summer Reading Club by clicking the “Sign Me Up” button. The Teen Summer Reading Club is for those entering Grade 6 through Age 19.

Log Books that you read this summer by logging into your account and selecting Add/View Log. We only need the Title, but feel free to enter more information and leave a review! You may read and log books, graphic novels, magazines, ebooks, or listen to audiobooks.

Read to Others! Reading 10 children's books will count as 1 adult book. Simply type "10 children's books" in the title field of your entry log.

Earn a Free Book after reading and logging 5 books (limit 1 free book).

Get Entry Slips at the Information or Children's Desks, or from the Teen Librarian for every book you log.

Enter Prize Drawings by placing your entry slips in one of ten marked boxes:

Weekly prize drawings will be held throughout the club. Winners have until Thursday, August 10 at 9:00 PM to claim their prizes.
