Since 1980, with over 4,000 performances to his credit, Kevin Stonerock has brought history to life for thousands of young people and adults. The "Fur Trader" is a character Stonerock compiled from a variety of historic sources. The trader, a Scotsman named Jacob McLinden, takes the audience on a journey from Montreal to Indian Country and through a year in the fur trade in the mid-1700s. He discusses trade goods, fur bearing animals, voyageur life, fur trade vocabulary, music and the ways of Indians and traders.

This living history program will be performed in authentic period clothing with proper accoutrements in first-person style. A high degree of historic authenticity has been achieved as a result of hours of research and attention to detail and dialect. This program is sure to be both informative and entertaining for all ages, particularly 4th graders up to adults.

In addition to hundreds of schools, libraries, and museums, Stonerock has performed for organizations as diverse as the Indiana Historical Society, the Kentucky Historical Society, Indiana State Museum, and Ball State University. He connects with young and old in a captivating manner that leaves audiences curious to learn more.

Book jacket description:
Harry Potter has no idea how famous he is. That's because he's being raised by his miserable aunt and uncle who are terrified Harry will learn that he's really a wizard, just as his parents were. But everything changes when Harry is summoned to attend a school for wizards, and he begins to discover some clues about his birth.
