The Riley Boyhood Home and Museum are partnering with the library to bring you expert quilter and author Cindy Claycamp.Library: HCPL - Central Library Map
At the library, Claycamp will have numerous quilts on display and talk about her new book, “Quilts Reflecting the Poetry of James Whitcomb Riley." Copies will be available for purchase and signing as part of the event.
Claycamp is one of fewer than 100 certified quilt appraisers approved by the American Quilt Society in the United States. She has been quilting for almost 40 years. She recently served as president of the Indiana State Quilters Guild and is currently on the board of directors for the Quilters Hall of Fame in Marion, Indiana.
The Riley Boyhood Home and Museum, which is normally closed in March, will open by appointment from 12-2 PM for those attending the quilt event who would like to take a tour. Please call the museum ahead of time at (317) 462-8539 to schedule your tour. Admission is $4 for adults, $3.50 for seniors, $1.50 for visitors 17 and under.
