The Friends of the Hancock County Public Library book, CD, and DVD sale opens to the public on Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Most hardbacks cost only a dollar, and paperbacks cost 50 cents.

Closeout prices start at 9:00 a.m. and end at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. A paper grocery bag full of books sells for $2, a plastic bag for $1. Bring your own bag.

Proceeds will help fund concerts, children’s events, and summer reading club prizes for the library.
